What we do not answer

Link-building outreach, guest-post offers, requests to feature a hotel, a cabin rental or an attraction, and anything that opens by telling us we have a broken link. We do not sell links, we do not publish sponsored posts, and we do not add infographics.

We also cannot plan your trip for you by email, though we read every suggestion for a route we have not driven, and several of the trips on this site started as one.

If you are suggesting a route

The useful version of that message is short and has four things in it: the metro you would leave from, the place you would go, roughly how long the drive takes on a Friday evening, and the one thing there that would be worth the drive. That is enough for us to decide whether it fits inside the three-hundred-mile rule and whether it is a two-night trip rather than a day out.

What we cannot use is a list of places without drive times, or a destination that only works as a week-long trip. Several suggestions we have received were excellent and were also eight hours away, which is a different website.

We drive a new route before we publish it, in the season we plan to describe, and we pay for it ourselves. That means the gap between a good suggestion and a page on this site is usually several months, and sometimes a year if the suggestion only works in one season. We will tell you if yours goes on the list.
